Home Again by Elton John
The first single of Elton's highly anticipated new album ''The Diving Board'' was an excellent start and made me more than excited to hear what was he working on for the past few years . Too bad my excitement fell by 80% when I gave it a listen. But that's another story. Anyway, ''Home Again'' reminded me of some of his greatest ballads (e.g. ''Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word''). I like it's simplicity and honesty. Elton proved us once again how a ballad is made!

Clarity (feat. Foxes) by Zedd
If it wasn't for Foxes, this track wouldn't be as good as it is. Her voice in this song is just spectacular and that's the main reason why I enjoyed it so much. Verses, chorus, production, this song has everything perfectly balanced. My only complaint would be it's duration. I believe it would be even more amazing if it was just tiny bit shorter. However, I look forward to hearing more from both of them.

Side Effects of You by Fantasia
The title track of Fantasia's newest album ''Side Effects of You'' is definitely her best effort yet. I was convinced it would perform at least half as good as Adele's smash hit ''Someone Like You'' but unfortunately, it flopped harder than her previous two singles. I'm just curious how many weeks would it spent at #1 if Rihanna (nothing against her) sang it. If I'm not mistaken, she was originally supposed to record it?

I Hope by Rebecca Ferguson
To be honest, I wasn't a fan of Rebecca's debut album when I first heard it. I found ''Heaven'' quite boring. Oh boy, how I was wrong... ''I Hope'' is definitely one of her strongest singles to date and it kinda reminds me of Adele's ''Rolling In The Deep''. The drums at very beginning of song are outstanding and they are one of the main reasons why I love this song so much. Rebecca delivered, once again, a magical performance.

Perfume by Britney Spears
And the last song for today is Britney's second single of her eight, self-titled album. As I've already said somewhere, everything that comes from Mrs. Furler's ''pastry shop'' is more than delightful. I'm so glad that Britney has finally decided to reward us with a ballad as that is something that she definitely knows how to make, although not as often as she should. I for sure know that I haven't enjoyed one of her songs like this since...I don't know..., Everytime?
