This album fits into the "interesting" concepts category. Food! You guess it but while listening the album it felt very funky and uplifting. 'Forever Be' has to be one of the standout tracks for me to be honest. Before you listen to this album expect to not be thirsty for food but sort of celebrate Food and Feelings together. You see the meaning of Jerk Ribs? In sentence form it's Ribs are a Jerk. Or maybe I'm wrong but who knows? This album was interesting and I recommend it to people who are interested in uplifting funk.
This album expresses a feeling. A feeling of love, hope and confidence. The lead single, "Secrets" is letting everything out and it's like a non-mainstream version of Shake It Off but Secrets came out first and Shake It Off second. But that is irrelevant in this matter. "So Far Away" is a good song if you have a long-distant relationship but it's recommended to listen during a break up or whenever you want.
18. Mariah Carey - Me.. I Am Mariah: The Elusive Chanteuse
This album was the reason we had the word chanteuse used often and we even had spoofs like "Global Chanteuse" "Fashion Chanteuse" etc. "Ugh, I'm thirsty." said Mariah. Mariah didn't even explain what was she thirsty about? Pepsi? But thanks to this album the word chanteuse is like famous on ATRL. But has some solid songs.
This album showed fear. Sia is unseen. Cellophane's are wrapped. This album is 1000 Forms of Excellence. We rode the Chandelier this 2014 and Sia taught us that Big Girls Cry when their hearts are breaking.
Despite this coming out just recently, I believe it deserves to be on this list for a variety of reasons: This is Charli's rise! I like the album, "Need Ur Luv" "Sucker" "Body of My Own" and a few others stand out. What a good way to conclude 2014 and a way to begin something bolder and better.
Her albums are like a series: Pink Friday, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded and now, The Pinkprint. This album has some gems and despite it's recent release (like Charli's Sucker) it deserve to be in the list because it's one of those albums that concludes 2014 with a bang! Go Nicki!
