Its made me concerned for my safety as a gay male, but not to the extent if I was living in the US.

Yes. It's making me fed up that no one's doing anything about it, that if someone were to buy a gun and do it again next week they could. That politicians are making it about themselves, that this is so commonplace that my facebook friends aren't even posting about it, that people think this is a lesser problem because it happened to a group of gays. I'm just really disappointed and scared right now

Yeh it has. I think because Christina passed away earlier in the week, alongside all the other innocent people in Orlando just because of their sexual orientation... it's just scary how brutal some people can be. I also watched a video of some parents talking about how their sons were still trapped in the club with the shooter and they had no idea if they were injured or even alive- it was awful to watch.

Exactly! I really hope Obama does something about this before he leaves office

or hopefully Hillary can put a stop to this

Not really but I've just been thinking why and what we can do as a country to stop this **** from happening (and no banning guns is not the answer)

i feel ****ing horrible. all these losses made me super depressed and i was thinking how i could get out of this country that i live in to escape and live in usa or something. it made me realize that im not gonna be safe anywhere on the world. im lost and i wanna cry but i cant the tears wont come out. so im sitting there listening to music trying to decide what im going do to with my life...

Why is banning guns not the answer?

yes. when I first heard about it, I'll admit, I was really angry at Muslims and radical Islam.

But after calming down, I realized that it has more to do with the fact that gay people are still "freaks" and weirdos to others, even to this day, and that for whatever reason, our existence inspired the hatred in one man, regardless of his religion, to spend money and time plotting our deaths when he probably doesn't know any one of us, and never stopped to think that we're just people like him.

And it made me sad.

Yes. Other mass shootings aside from Sandy Hook never affected me this much. I'm guessing it's the magnitude and apparent motive for it.

Christina Grimmie's murder also affected me a lot. Having both of these in the same weekend is too much. I hope something's finally done to prevent these things from happening in the future.
