Yeah it kind of seemed like it was supposed to be there, but then again not. It was weird.

She always has playback in the first part of the song. But this time she was supposed to open the performance live and without the playback and that certain part, HOWEVER; there's some bitch who already got fired when they pressed the wrong button and played the playbackthat uses for her other TMB performances.

No, this is much different. First of all, it was a harmony backing track, meaning that it wasn't for the lead vocal and she didn't have it there to replace her own voice. Second, Mariah is a professional and she actually went on and did the performance, unlike Ashlee who ran offstage.
