A fan who was at the soundcheck said Madonna actually asked the fans TWICE NICELY beforehand not to smoke. So that means the video that's been spreading shows Madonna asking the fans for the third time not to smoke. No wonder why she was agitated.

It isn't rude, she's aging & is in no position to breathe in cigarette smoke. Very smart of her and something I would have done.

I think that the best way to ask for people to not smoke during the concert, even if it was outdoors, it was by including it in the tickets or something else. Even though, the Queen.
