Justin Bieber’s incredible year continues as he scores his third Number 1 single on this week’s Official Singles Chart with Love Yourself.
The ballad climbs from 2 to 1 on this week’s tally, pushing his previous single Sorry down to second place. Both tracks also rack up huge streaming numbers this week, at 5.97 million for Love Yourself and 5.5 million for Sorry.
Replacing yourself at the top spot is a rarely-seen feat on the Official Singles Chart. The last act to do so was Elvis Presley in 2005, when reissues of Jailhouse Rock and One Night/I Got Stung hit Number 1 in succession. The last living act to achieve the feat in UK chart history was The Beatles in December 1963, with She Loves You and I Want To Hold Your Hand.
Meanwhile, Adele’s Hello holds at Number 3, Bieber’s What Do You Mean is at 4.
