Hi ATRL!

This is a game I used to play on a roleplaying forum but it can work on a music forum too. This is also the first game I'm hosting on ATRL so there won't be any fancy graphics for it - but feel free to make some @ any GFX artists out there!

Objectives:

Only two fan bases face-off at a time
Each round two active fanbases will compete against each other in a head-to-head showdown to see which fanbase truly runs ATRL.

How To Win:

Last man standing wins
Each user representing their respective fanbase starts out with a specific number of life points (20). The goal is to kill each member of the enemy fanbase until they've reached at least 0 life points.

Actions per post/turn
This game is based off of online ACTIVITY. That means the more active the users are, the greater the chances you have at winning this game. You can only post if someone from the enemy fanbase posted before you.

E.G.

Two fanbases are currently facing eachother in a showdown: The Army (Britney) vs. The Fighters (Christina)

Poster 1 (Army Member A) posts:
- 2 LP to '[Fighter Member D]'

Poster 2 (Fighter Member B) posts:
- 2 LP to '[Army Member C]'

Poster 3 (Army Member D) posts:
- 2 LP to '[Fighter Member B]'

Actions available to make per post
Each post that you are eligible to make (after someone from the enemy fanbase has posted) you can either

1) -2 LP from any member from the opposing fanbase
2) +1 LP to any member on your team to heal them

Tracking the life points of each fanbase
Each post that you make, you must also post an updated list of the current life points remaining of both fanbases, and the action that you made in parentheses next to their name.

E.G.

Fanbases
The Army (Britney)
Member A: 20
Member B: 20
Member C: 20
Member D: 20
Member E: 20

The Fighters (Christina)
Member A: 20
Member B: 20
Member C: 20
Member D: 20
Member E: 20

In the example of Post 1 above, this is how their post would look with the list of current lifepoints included

And then post 2 would follow:

Pretty simple and fun, right?

Special Game Rules:

Fan Base Captains
Each Fan Base will have TWO (2) designated captains that I will choose based off of the sign-up sheet. Until this game becomes bigger it's easier if I just pick them at random, so please don't complain if you aren't chosen as a Captain.

Special abilities that only captains have
Captains can -3 LP / +2 LP each time they are eligible to post

Moderators who sign up
Are automatically given the same abilities as a captain, even if they are NOT chosen as a captain. Consider it a Mod perk (this was a fun rule on the other forum that I'm keeping a tradition here).

The Off-Topic Rules:

No flaming other members
Since this is a user-based survivor game, some members might be killed quicker than others. That is ALLOWED since this is a game. Do not however bring in OOC (out of character) drama by insulting/flaming other members.

You may only post in this game once it started if you are alive and making an action. Don't post off-topic comments until after the round is finished and a winner is declared.

A winner is declared when there is only one member remaining with 1 LP or more. That fanbase automatically wins that round!

If there are any updates made to this thread check here to see what they were. If rules have to be further clarified I can do that etc. It's really simple and I think once we play people will get the hang of it asap.

Idk how many people will join so we'll say a minimum of 10 members on each side... the next max will be 20 members on each side. At 20 members there will be 3 Captains chosen in each fanbase. There must be an equal number of members on both side - so we'll play by ear!

Deadline for sign-ups... idk we'll play it by ear too!

See this game is somewhat of a Hurt and heals type of game. The problem with this game is the moderators about a year ago (idk) decided these types of threads were spam worthy, so they did away with all these thread.

Unless I'm not understanding the concept of this game

Well it has an end goal though, one fan base wins when everyone else is dead. I thought it'd be fun, but yes I asked in HQ if these types of games were made before!

A lot of these games (tournament games) have more entry based stuff. The personal survivor thread has usually been focused around musical chairs and having some sort of systematic elimination system to come up with a winner. See the others made by MusicLoverDude and Mr. Link
