In its sixth week on the charts, Glory has already slunk to the incredibly and almost unbelievably low position of No. 138. That’s a shocking drop off for a star as big as Spears, and it’s all the more disappointing considering how many titles are above her and how long some of them have been out. This week, Glory wasn’t just bested on the charts by new albums that are enjoying a big first week, such as new records by the likes of Solange and Bon Iver, but also by plenty of albums that have ended their promotional runs and have seemingly seen their time in the spotlight end. This week, Glory had to settle for being less popular than releases like Eminem’s Curtain Call: The Hits (released in 2005), Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour, Adele’s 21, Beyoncé’s self-titled surprise album and many, many others. All of the mentioned titles were big successes, but they have all been out for years, and it’s strange to see a new album that was meant to be a hit dip beneath ones that have already moved millions and which are no longer being promoted in any way.

Since then, things haven’t been going very well for Spears’ ninth studio album, despite the fact that it was easily one of the most highly-anticipated of the year. Glory only managed a single week in the top 10, and it could only stay within the upper half of the Billboard 200 for four frames, or just about a month. Last week, in its fifth week on the chart, it dipped to No. 103. At the rate it is going, the pop star’s new studio effort only has a few weeks left on the all-encompassing albums tally before it drops off entirely, unless its promotional fate changes.

So far, no second single has been announced, though it is entirely possible that RCA, Spears’ record label, will invest the money to send another track to radio and film a music video. The album itself was reviewed well by many media outlets, and the collection is chock full of catchy, radio-ready tunes, any one of which might fare better than “Make Me…” did if given the chance and the proper resources.
It's really weird that they haven't released a 2nd single yet tho. What are they waiting for ? Holiday season wouldn't be the best time. Although my fav is in the same position so..
Whatever then I feel bad for other +10 year acts that release an album this year that did worst than Britney like Gwen, Usher, Green Day, One Republic & more
I think that 2nd single could still make this era big however they better hurry up
The album is so good. its really sad how much she doesn't care about her music flopping anymore. She put so much time and was really involved with this album just to let it flop with not even a second single.
It's surprising considering it's the second most promoted album of 2016 (after 7/27). But on another hand it really isn't surprising since promo can only do so much
No lies detected, it's indeed an enormous and colossal flop... And yes it's surprising.... Didnt her fans told ATRL she would be slaying once she promotes her albums ?
Well, we saw how it ended
