Lil' Kim's next album: 'Hard Core 2: All Hail the Queen'
Quote:
Lil’ Kim was on H8terade Radio recently to talk about that silly beef with Nicki Minaj. Anyway, after going in on Nicki, the Queen Bee managed to spill some details on her upcoming fifth studio album that never seems to get released. According to Kim, the current title of the album is ‘Hard Core 2: All Hail The Queen, a nod to her classic 1996 debut Hard Core. For the production, Kim has teamed up with Will.I.am, Polo Da Don, The-Dream, and The Neptunes. There’s a bunch of other producers that she’s mentioned in the past (Akon, Timbaland, Detail), but the LP has been in the works so long that it’s hard to keep up with who’s still on board and who isn’t.
There’s currently no scheduled release date penciled in (of course).
I’d give my right arm for a new album from Kim, Foxy Brown, Remy Ma or Missy Elliott. The bland midtempos on Pink Friday really aren’t cutting it.
Twitter is going crazy right now. Lil Kim has a diss track about Nicki called "Black Friday," and Lil Kim is on HOT 97 right now going in on Nicki. Just six days ago, Nicki was on there discussing their beef, if it's really that.
I can't wait to hear this track and interview. The fact that HOT 97 has interviewed both as if they are trying to keep this senseless beef going leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Kim and Nicki are feeding into it instead of making good music.
I do NOT understand why people do a sequel to an album, that was released over 10 years ago and it's not even her most recent one... Obviously trying to squeeze the last bit of press out of her old career. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love Kim. I just think she needs to stop talking **** and get her ass back in the studio. But we all know this album is gonna be all about Nicki anyway...
