does anyone here at PF live in GA? ever notice how the weather is so random here? not even 5 minutes ago it was almost pitch black outside and raining hard....now its 9am here and the sun is out but its pouring hard. i was born and raised in new jersey so naturally i'd be wishing for snow but gerogia has weird weather like that. ive lived here for almost 5 years and i dont think im used to it yet but w/e.

i worked my first 8 hour shift yesterday (i work at caribou coffee).....and it sucked....not because of the working aspect of it.....i actually like my job....but because it was soooo slow yesterday! it felt like i was there from open to close. luckily the manager on shift is awesome so when noone was in the store we just chilled out and talked about different crap. it was cool though.

Ooh, is there a rainbow nearby?! Usually when it is raining but is sunny out, somewhere there is a noticeable rainbow.
Caribou coffee is great. Heck, any coffee place is. It is good to hear that you like your job!

oh man im nervous......i hate getting my pacemaker checked because i always wonder when the doctors will say "okay you need to come to the hospital soon to replace your battery"......(for those of you who dont know, i have multiple heart defects & i have a pacemaker + defribrillator in my chest).....but anyways replacing the battery takes surgery to complete...i HATE surgery... i mean ive gotten heart surgery sooooooooo many times before but i still get nervous....sometimes i feel like my whole LIFE is a surgical operation lmao!......pacemaker checks are cool though too cuz of the technology they use.....first of all im at home when they do it....second of all its over the telephone! its freaking genius work!......you talk to the doctor on the phone whos typing on a computer....I get my fingers wet under the sink and stick them into these little ring type thingy (like ET lol) then they tell you okay were ready and you put the phone on this boxy machine and it transmits my heart rate from the rings on my fingers to the boxy machine to the phone! its cool......you do that for 30 seconds then they say okay put the magnet on.....so theres a little round magnet that i lay on my stomach and they do the same process (the magnet "talks" to the pacemaker to check for any flaws)......thats for another 30 seconds....then they do it once more w/o the magnet.....then the doctor tells you if your okay or not....its really interesting!.....butttt i havent had my pacemaker battery changed in a while (the battery lasts for about 4-7 years...ive had my current one in for 4) so im nervous.....ok wow i didnt know i typed this much....but im at school NOT doing my work....so im sacrificing getting a detention just to type on here for you guys! ....so ill ttyl!

Just a random question: With the pacemaker, are you restricted when it comes to eating certain foods? - (My main example: High-fat foods such as Dominos Pizza or really greasy chips)

My friend had a heart transplant that would always have me worry about her, and that was just one heart surgery! It is a scary thing and I am glad that the check-up went well.
