Fire Bomb
Rihanna's fans favorite, even though there are heavy speculation whether the song will gain success, or not.
Slant Magazine
Quote:
The lovers need to clear the road," she warns in the galvanizing "Fire Bomb," which distills Rihanna's state of mind into a single violent image: Her, driving an out-of-control hot rod, already leaking flames and careening toward the front window of the man whose face she can't wait to see as she crashes into it, killing both in a blaze of glory. That this sentiment comes attached to the closest musical approximation of triumph (sounding a little bit like "Umbrella" covered by Roxette) should give you a solid indication of how Rated R plays. Or doesn't.

It’s a “Fire Bomb” in one power ballad
Te Amo
This song was leaked a year before Rated R was released. It's sell being frequently played on the Brazilian Radio and reached #1 in Brazil. It has the European vibe in it, and the critics agreed.
New Musical Express

Even the ballad ‘Te Amo’ (which harks back to ‘Music Of The Sun’) is sung from a male perspective, placing Rihanna as the male who can’t commit, rather than as the woman who is clinging to an unrealistic ideal.
Photographs
The collaboration's with will.i.am. This song was a BEP song at first, but then Rihanna wanted it badly. will.i.am decided to give it to her eventually, and added his vocals to the song.
(Honestly, she sounds a bit like Fergie in the song and the song itself has the "BEP" vibe. I think it'll chart similar to Meet Me Halfway)

The one exception is the wistful, bittersweet “Photographs,” a rare instance of the singer dropping her guard, but it really sticks out since it is surrounded by material that has her taking the variably authentic roles of abused lover, dominatrix, and murderer
Rockstar 101
The raunchy, explicit collaboration with the guitarist Slash. The song combines the "Dark" and "Fun" elements together, which I'm not sure how will be received by the Mainstream targets.

Quote:
"Rockstar 101" (a song that sounds superb in a late night driving scenario) is a reckless ride in the VIP section of the club, a subtle contribution from Slash contrasting with completely over the top production, and RiRi declaring that she "never played the victim, always play the stalker." To her credit, you rarely find her "milking" the situation, and she has come across as angry, yes, but always dignified with it
ideal order...
1. Rude Boy (November)
2. Russian Roulette (January)
3. Hard (March)
4. Rockstar (June)
5. Fire Bomb/ Cold Case Love (September)

Fire Bomb. It's different and can really make some damage. Te Amo is too safe. Photographs would be amazing too! It's soft yet different but yet the same as any othe BEP record. Rockstar 101 ........ -sigh. Next
