Welcome to my personal chart thread!

2013 is here, so I decided to begin a personal chart where I am going to include my forty favourites songs of the week and I'll update the chart each Sunday.

As a consequence, there are some points about the songs that I'm going to chart you should know:

• Only current songs are eligible to chart. It refers to songs that has been sent to different radio formats, has been released as a single, either via iTunes, Beatport, or other retailer, or has a music video out within the last six months. However, this rule breaks when I found out a song that it's totally new for me (sometimes, it could happen!) and was released within the last 18 months, being at least have to fulfill one of the aforementioned.

• Promo singles and album tracks aren't eligible to chart. It refers to songs that have released digitally before the launch of the album labeled as a promo singles or songs that have been included on an album released after its launch. However, this rule breaks when a music video is out for any song and/or the song has charted in any official countdown (Only: US, UK and Australia for now. Sorry )

• Remixes and alternate versions count together. Sometimes, I don't like the original version of a song, but there are some remixes that are really awesome. So, the remixes/alternate versions could replace the original version on the chart. Obviously, those must have been released via digital download or sent to different radio formats. It's not necessary to have a music video out.

So, expect the unexpected!

No te preocupes. Tengo pensado en hacer que entre "Drinking from the Bottle" a mi conteo. Sin embargo, tengo que anunciarte que tendrás que soportar a "Sweet Nothing" un poco más.

Week #2, January 13, 2013

Second week and there's a new #1. "Sweet Nothing" claims this honour, dethroning "Anything Could Happen", which falls a spot this week. Also, "I Knew You Were Trouble." climbs to #3 while "Don't You Worry Child" falls two to #4. "Ho Hey" jumps four spots to #5 and climbing to the top 10 is "Catch My Breath".

Lower down the chart, the shakeout has just begun. There are five songs which fell more than six spots this week, being "Come Taste the Rainbow" the most. However, it isn't all bad for Example because he is, as well, the biggest climber this week with his new single "Perfect Replacement". Also, there are three new entries this week, being "Little Talks" at #27, which becomes the highest debut this week, "Tongue Tied" at #36 and "Figure 8" at #40.
