This video's already blowing up tumblr, after only having been up for a few hours! Thousands of dislikes! 1,500 comments already! (From rabid KPop fans... it's really not that bad! Super catchy)
Seriously, play this like twice. I guarantee it'll be stuck in your head.
I understand that this is a parody but I can't help but wonder if they are doing it with malicious intent. Are they trying to make people hate K-Pop by portraying it in the worst possible light? Seems like it...
It's really not funny because it's going to create a lot of unnecessary cultural tension.

...you just copied a comment directly from YouTube...
Go for it. I'm currently trying to explain to these dumbass gullible K-Pop fans that this is a parody and that they are being TROLLED hard core, but I'm not making any progress. Whatever, let them embarrass themselves.

I'm eagerly anticipating the view counts to update. There are hundreds more comments every time I refresh the page.

So what do you think of the whole thing? Funny or no?
It's really ****ed up because this will go to the front page of Youtube and get millions of views and then when people see K-Pop groups for the first time, it will remind them of the parody and they'll think it's just something to laugh at. I don't like the fact that it's promoting more cultural intolerance.
BUT... It's also brilliant and sooo well planned out. A part of me thinks that it deserves the success that it's going to have.

I think it's great. The song is actually catchy, if you ignore the lyrics, and the rest of their mini-album is even better. The production on "International" ***** on some of the bigger songs this year. (Song on Spofity). Again, lyrics need work, but the song is fantastic in the car or in headphones.
First of all, this sucks, I couldn't even watch a minute of this. Secondly, I thought K-Pop was Korean Pop? This isn't exactly Korean...?
It's a parody of Korean pop.

Wtf? Are you being paid to promote them or something?
Why does nobody understand that this is a parody? I feel so alone...
Doesn't hurt! Seriously though, have you heard International? <3 sorry haha.
Plus I mean, they certainly have the attractiveness thing down. That doesn't hurt either.
They're clearly in on the joke, so where's the harm?
The harm is in the fact that it's promoting the idea to westerners that other countrys' music and cultures are to be laughed at and mocked. And it says to Korean artists that we think they deserve to be mocked in front of millions of people for being different than us. It's just the wrong time for it.

(Will be copying & pasting this to Youtube...lol)
Oh, well if that's what you mean by "parody," then I think you might be overreacting a little.
The way I see it, they're embracing all the inherent silliness in KPop / boy bands. And let's be honest, a lot of KPop is rather silly. They're taking everything to extremes, but I think it's more a loving homage than a cruel joke.
Think Gaga embodying every vapid pop tart blonde trashy starlet cliche in the Just Dance video.
EDIT: And I'm certainly not comparing them to Gaga, let's not be ridiculous here haha

But Gaga is also a legit artist and she glorifies pop culture while parodying it. If this was meant to be a loving homage, it really doesn't come across that way. Like I said, the timing is just wrong. If they had done it a few months/years from now when K-Pop is peaking in fame, it would have been hilarious, but the timing of it makes it really tacky and it seems like they're deliberately trying to derail the K-Pop movement.
