Leo DiCaprio was outed by Craig Chester in Genre magazine (issue 24). He was discussing how agencies that represent gay actors go to great lengths-even arranging marriages to conceal that the actor is gay. Apparently Leo was about to come out when his agency CAA found out and stopped him. CAA has apparently been doing a lot to polish Leo's image.

The star fired the first round when he declared last year in Interview magazine that he was uncertain about his own sexual identity.

Then came a profile of openly gay actor Craig Chester in the January 1995 issue of Genre, a gay lifestyle magazine. In the course of an unsensational conversation about homosexuality in Hollywood, writer Kimberly Yutani mentions the rumor that "DiCaprio is ready to come out, but his agents and managers won't let him."
Not surprising. There's some old Hollywood stars who's gay lives were totally covered up by their PR people. Sorta like how JFK's affairs with numerous women didn't make the press even though insiders knew. It's crazy how easy it used to be to manipulate the entire mass media.
