Daddy Lessons Rejected by Grammy Country Committee
Quote:
Beyoncé earned a whopping nine Grammy nominations Tuesday, including best rock performance, but the singer's twangy song "Daddy Lessons" was rejected by the Recording Academy's country music committee.
A person familiar with the Grammy nomination process told The Associated Press on Wednesday (Dec. 7) that Beyoncé submitted "Daddy Lessons" -- from her album Lemonade -- to the country category. The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person was not allowed to speak publicly about the topic, said the country music committee rejected the song.
The racism is real. Grammy country committee can remain pressed. Queen still won with the most noms.
it wasn't submitted though. Watch them try to reject the remix next year and she performs it at the Grammys with even more instruments, the Dixie Chicks, and extra vocals? The country establishment would SEETHE due to all of the publications who would insert their elite attitudes into why this isn't country music.
