"I think I probably will experiment with a tougher sound on some of the songs," she said. "But I don't like going into the studio saying, 'I'm going to do this or that' specifically. I prefer just to get in there and go with it from there."
It was previously revealed that the 25-year-old had once again worked with Ryan Tedder on new material.
"What I was working on with Ryan was quite up-tempo but still very song-based," she said. "I'm working on the new album for next year so the new single will come early 2011 too."
Lewis also admitted that her recent tour had helped to increase her confidence.
"Well, I’ve just come off tour, and having had that experience it’s opened me up a lot more musically, especially in a live sense," she said. "It's helped me so much - given me more confidence and experience.".
I'm currently working on a new album, I'm in the beginning stages and experimenting in the studio! Fun times!

She needs songs like Scene of the Crime mixed with her ballads if she wants to do well. The girl can blow but nobody wants to heart an album full of ballads like Echo... granted i liked that album alot but she needs a mix as well as a sound that gives her a little bit of spunk.

Scene Of The Crime has apparently gone to some unknown Japanese artist according to Leona's Ustream chat. She said it didn't really seem to fit the style of the album.
Everything seemed to fizzle out after Happy, I don't know much about how the US release was handled, but apparently I Got You was pulled from the radio because no one was playing it, and there was confusion over whether I See You or I Got You was her new single.
Here in the UK, the promotion for I Got You was okay, but we had to get all the fans together to buy copies of the single, we managed to get it to #14.
Her record company is so bad, the clever plan would have been to get Outta My Head as the 3rd single to coincide with the tour, but everything went really quiet.

But yes, Echo is a masterpiece.
I Got You is a great song but after Happy it should've been Outta My Head. 2 ballads can kill.
I'm sad that a lot of good materials from this album left unheard in the public.
I want her to record at least few songs with Ryan Tedder. He has made such an epic ballads like Bleeding Love, Apologize, Halo. Also hope that the first single will be something like this. Leona needs to promote this album worldwide, not only in UK

Ryan really seems to get her, they work really well together. She flew to Frankfurt so they could work on the new album.
I have a feeling Leona is going to slay again with this one. Her record label needs to get it the **** together though. They have let her down too many times over the past year.
Although it seems like her US label are taking more control this time rather than SYCO, which is a good thing imo.
