No. It's the same amount she always pulls so she's fine. Non-sexual, strange videos for songs that didn't do all that well globally don't normally pull 210 million in views so it's fine.

Considering it was top ten for over ten weeks (I think?) and it's her biggest radio hit to date (again, I think), and VEVO was very big in 2013, yes. It should have over 300 million at least. I mean, Work Bitch was released around the same time and isn't far behind it last time I checked and it completely flopped. The video's not good though so the views make sense in a way.

Work Bitch is far behind Applause and took far far longer to reach 100mill. So don't even try to pose it as if its somehow doing better lol

To be honest Applause did surprisingly well considering its coming within a time period where she wasn't greatly liked. It peaked at #4, had her best radio spins in years, and managed to get over 200mill views. I think we're all very much aware that as far as her singles go its not like Applause was one of her biggest and overall even though its a good pop song its not exactly her best either. So I think considering what it is, its performance, the lukewarmness of the artpop era, and the general anti-gaga attitude that plagued her for so long..the views are what you should expect them to be.

What monsters overrate it? I don't see an obvious majority outright praise the applause music video, if anything I saw more of the opposite.

Honestly I feel like some people, moreso people that kind of don't like her, like immediately pull some 2010 type excuse out of thin air about her being overrated to any degree when these days its quite the opposite, often times even from her own fanbase. Like shes berated more then shes ever praised now. That logic is so dated and imo exposes the insincerity of the individual expressing it.

It implies that Work Bitch is catching up to it even if it was less successful. When in reality they're kind of trailing at the same speed with Work Bitch staying beneath it and never likely to surpass it.

Yeah the comparison to WB is silly. Britney has a lot of attention for her lead singles too and that's likely why it's got so many views. Plus, just the content. It's Britney looking hot, sexy and tan doing goofy stuff. Applause is everything but that. Britney's also a sex icon and lots of men probably still check her vids out - or at least more than they do Gaga's

But compare Perfume to G.U.Y. and you see the difference in streaming power.
