SCOTS songbird Eddi Reader last night blasted record label bosses — for working young stars like Adele and tragic Amy Winehouse too hard.
The 52-year-old said: "The business can abuse musicians. When I saw Amy sing before she died, I thought, 'Who the hell is holding her coat while she's on stage?
"Who on earth allowed that to happen?'."
Eddi, best known for Fairground Attraction hit Perfect, admitted she fears for chart-topper Adele, who has been plagued by a throat condition all year.

"I feel very protective of these young lassies. It just drives me crazy they work them so hard."
