The ATRL Interactive Music XChange 2006 Hullabaloo!!
I haven't posted in awhile, but that's how I wanted it. 2006 has been a weird year for me and music. I feel like I was all over the place in what I liked - hip hop, rock, and pop. Well the list will definitely represent that this year, and I'll probably start posting it the final week of December. I haven't even made it up yet, since I'm still trying to remember what songs came out this year, but I'm majorly upgrading it - to a top 106!!! And this year, songs from all walks of music will be allowed on. Should be one hullabaloo of a time. And can't wait to see all of yours!

THE HULLABALOO BEGINS TONIGHT!
2-0-0-6! What a year! Although I'm eagerly anticipating what 2007 will bring, I can't help but look back on all of the memories that happened in the past year. A personal best year ever, 2006 brought a few lows and many good highs. Tonight, I'll post the following:

16. "Check on it" by Beyonce and Slim Thug
Just when you thought Beyonce could do no worse after calling Jennifer Hudson fat, we had to be reminded of this painful hit from the Pink Panther soundtrack. It still boggles my mind how this single - with an even worse video than Ring the Alarm - managed to top the Hot 100 for so long.
15. "Torn" by Letoya
From one "destiny child" to another, "Torn" was the 2006 R & B hit that everyone loved. Well, not me.
14. "So Sick" by Neyo
Dear Father, it has been three years since my last confession and these are my sins: I cursed, I stole, and I liked Neyo's "Sexy Love." :x
13. "You Don't Know" by 50 Cent and Eminem
I usually throw Eminem and 50 Cent in the group of rappers I like. But what happened to the G Unit this year? Gggggggggggggget some better stuff out there boyzzzz.

11. "Me & You" by Cassie

I liked Hawthorne Heights in 2005. In 2006, well fuhgedaboutit!

05. "A Public Affair" by Jessica Simpson
Bill Clinton's "public affair" was better than this upsetting followup to the classy "These Boots are Made for Walking." It's a shame that the song was built up to be "a career high for Jess," and hid completely in the shadow of her husband's wayyyy more successful song.
04. "Papazao" by Kevin Federline
Papawow.
03. "Lips of an Angel" by Hinder
You know how there's always that one kid who always listens to pop music and says "well I like rock too alot!" and then you ask him what bands he likes. In 2006, the kid would definitely answer with "HINDER!"
02. "About Us" by Brooke Hogan feat./ Paul Wall
I love when I see Brooke on VH1 thanking all of her fans for loving "About Us." Does she not realize that daddy Hulk probably threatened to bodyslam the network if they didn't consistently play "About Us" and give it the #1 spot on their Top 20 countdown? I mean I watch "Hogan Knows Best" and every episode is devoted to how hard Brooke had to work to make it in the business - and then she goes and releases this? Ridonculous.

March and the NCAA basketball tourney aren't year yet, but the MADNESS has officially begun! Rock, hip-hop, R&B, rap, pop, and dance had an amazing '06 and the Top 106 will showcase that. And to bring even more Christmas cheer, 44 close calls will be shown, beginning now!
