Both have been labeled 'local' at one point or another, so which of these 2 superstars is bigger in the USA? Album sales, single sales, impact, tours, respect etc. One debuted in 2003, one in 2006 so they're not too far apart career length wise. Kindly explain your pick and why you chose them
I'm gonna go with Taylor. I mean she's only 3 years behind Beyonce but she's still consistently slaying. 2 1+ million debuts in a row, massive #1 singles, RED went 4x platinum, Album of the Year Grammy Award, IMPACT without even trying, critical acclaim, and I think she's outsold Beyonce's career total album sales in the US? Check that though am not sure. Oh and she does stadium tours in the USA.
My verdict remains the same however. Taylor musically speaking is bigger cutrently. But in terms of sheer popularity, buzz, and celebrity, it's Beyonce and thats the truth.

Congratulations to Taylor on her stellar album and single success over the past couple of years but she in no way eclipses Beyoncé...it's not that simple
Beyonce has a career that spans almost 20 years. Taylor does not.
Beyonce has 5x more #1's than Taylor.
Beyonce has recieved more awards than Taylor in the US.
Beyonce has more Grammys than Taylor by a large margin.
My vote is for Beyonce although Taylor is also very successful
