Sia confirms Christina Aguilera had 'never' heard of Gaga

"The truth is, I asked her about Lady Gaga and she really hadn't ever heard of her. She's not involved. She doesn't listen to pop. At home Jordy [her soon to-be ex-husband] brings music to her," with Sia confirming all the bad press had "knocked" the singer for "six".
I honestly had never heard known of her until Christina's 2008 VMA performance. Lady Gaga would not have risen to fame at that speed if Christina didn't perform that year.

In what was the most enjoyable, honest and revealing interview MusicFIX has ever done, songbird Sia, slammed any suggestion of Christina Aguilera copying Lady Gaga and told us why she won't win at the ARIAs.
The Aussie songbird, a co-writer on Aguilera's widely panned Bionic album claims that Aguilera was channeling the '60s and A Clockwork Orange and not copying Lady Gaga as everyone seems to think.

While Sia managed to crack the UK and US music charts years ago, only recently has her homeland cottoned on to the quirky lady. With six ARIA nominations up her sleeve, she is convinced her "defector expat" status means she won't go home with a statue.
"I've been gone too long, I'm new but also I'm an old person who's been around for too long. And I doubt that as a defector I would garner a lot of votes. And I don't care. I'm not an awards driven person. I know I'm a good person. I don't need awards to tell me that."
And one of Oz's most successful songwriters could soon hear her words sung by Britney or Pink with both performers currently considering a few of her tunes. But it's Beyonce she's really chasing.
"Beyonce! She's my queen. Now that I've written for Christina, and I hope I keep writing for her because she's a f**king powerhouse, but Beyonce is my queen."

Christina is responsible for Gaga's success?
