Beneath the stan wars and hormonal lust, ATRL has a vibrant, savvy community of music lovers that is long overdue in pitting its passionate opinions against those of the industry's elite. The ATRL Grammys launches this year as an opportunity not only to reward the best music of the past year, but to also compare our collective tastes with those of the world's biggest music awards show. Using the same categories, procedures and timeline as its namesake, the ATRL Grammys provides an opportunity for members to get in on the Grammy fun before the big show in February.


In the first stage of the nomination process, ATRL members can submit their favorite albums, songs and artists in up to 26 actual Grammy categories. Music released from October 1, 2012 to September 30, 2013 is eligible for consideration.


In the second stage of the nomination process, ATRL members will pick the final nominees from longlists of the top submissions in each category. These will be announced on December 1, 2013.


The winners in each category will be announced during the inaugural ATRL Grammys ceremony on January 25, 2013, the day before the real show airs on CBS.

Oops, I didn't even know about that! I just checked out the thread and it looks sufficiently different that I think they can peacefully coexist. Think of it the Grammys and the American Music Awards of ATRL.

Sorry, I should have clarified that in the original post! Once the nominees are the announced, everyone will be able to vote for the winners (though I may limit how many categories you can vote for, similar to the Grammys).
