Why is platinum "I Bet" 2015's biggest female R&B song?
Despite almost no promo, Ciara's "I Bet" is the only female R&B song released in 2015 to get RIAA certified. It's also the most viewed female R&B video of the year with more than 66 million views, not including the other versions. It was an urban radio smash, and one of the most acclaimed songs of 2015, with SPIN naming it the #13 best song of 2015 so far (their highest ranked female R&B song) and calling it "a slice of classic millennial R&B."
Even though people (wrongly) hate on her and her label doesn't know how to promote her, "I Bet" still did very well. Why was it so successful, ATRL?
