Here are some messy facts that are little known about some of the worlds biggest and most respected artists.

1. Diana Ross was hated not only by fellow members of The Supremes but also most of the female artists at Motown. She forged relationships with male employees of the economy to get ahead, from writers and producers (to ensure she got the best songs) to the record exec. himself Barry Gordy who put her at the forefront of the company.

2. Mich Jagger's first child was born to him by a black woman, Marsha Hunt. He however did not acknowledge her as his child and often refused to do so. During the early 1980's Marsha was living off of government assistance and Mick Jagger's then wife, Jerrey, encouraged him to persue a relationship with his daughter.

3. Aretha Franklin had her first child at the age of 12, by age 15 she was a mother of two. Though she has never disclosed the paternity of the children i is widely speculated that Sam Cooke fathered her second child due to their resemblance and the fact that they were fairly fond of each other before his death.

4. Bob Dylan also has a black daughter, though he kept her as well as his marriage to her mother secret. He as well as many rock-stars who dated black women during the 60's and 70's kept the relationships private fearing that their fans as well as the public would turn on them. Bob Dylan was notorious for dating black women during the 60's because they were largely unaware of "rock" culture and unlike white women didn't behave like gorupies.

5. For the recording of their #1 hit duet "Enough is Enough" Donna Summer and Barbra Streisand had to record seperately due to the lack of cooperation the two women had. Upon the first recording session Barbra felt that Donna sang too loudly and abrasively. She then asked to record her vocals separately in order to "focus"

6. Before Gladys Knight and the Pips broke out during the late 60's they were headlining acts to tour for the Supremes. During one occasion Gladys had sang a rendition of one of the Supremes biggest hits. The audience reaction was so unbelievably positive that Diana felt threatened. She promptly had Gladys kicked off the tour. The two have been at odd since.

7. Barbra Streisand believes she has a "good" side and requires she sit on the left side of those interviewing her. Recently on Jimmy Fallon she sat on his chair during their interview to avoid showing off her "bad" side.

8. Mick Jagger during the mid 70's according to most of his friends and acquaintances had a massive obsession and infatuation with Chaka Khan. Many deemed his obsession with her as creepy but it was soon over.

9. Rod Stewart and members of his band the faces had caused damage to their noses by over snorting druge. They soon decided to take them anally which would become common practice for the group.

10. In 1979 Cher abruptly ended her engagement to her then fiancee when he showed up drunk to and passed out on the food she had ordered during a romantic dinner he had planned for her.

People often dont realize that, our generation is also VERY tame compared to the boomers during the 60's/70's. The past generations were unbelievably MESSY.

Bobby Wmack marrie his mentor/best friend Sam Cooke's wife three months after sam died. Bobby showed up to the funeral in Cooke's clothes. It was also found out Bobby was cheating on cooke's widow with his underage teenage daughter. Linda (the stepdaughter) would then go on to marry Bbby Womack's brother in later years
