President Barack Obama said that the United States "should take military action against Syrian targets" in a Rose Garden address Saturday. However, he said he would seek congressional authorization when federal lawmakers return from recess.
The president appealed for congressional leaders to consider their responsibilities and values in debating U.S. military action in Syria over its alleged chemical weapons use."Some things are more important than partisan differences or the politics of the moment," he said. "Today I'm asking Congress to send a message to the world that we are united as one nation."

Aside from my own political views, I am 100% behind President Obama. It takes a brave man (or woman #political-correctness tehe) to see innocent children murdered in their beds, and not take appropriate action.

I applaud his actions however, you do wonder what may occur following their involvement in Syria.

If he does I pray it goes well and helps the awful situation there and doesnt maje it worse, The images coming out of there are horrifying.

This will be a conflict the British Army will not participate in. Our MP's have voted against it, and Mr.Cameron is too spineless to directly oppose them.

I agree. at first i was against it because I KNOW it will affect our economy and endager our soldiers but how can we not help people who are .literally being killed by their own government? i stand behind Obama and the administration.
