I’ve recently heard Katy Perry’s new CD and it inspired me so much. Before then, I was going through a depression and thought I couldn’t get back up and be myself again, but once I heard Katy’s new music there was a light that sparkled inside of me.
Listening to her music made me want to start living again. I was so happy listening to the songs that I knew I had to share it to someone who needed it the most. I decided to spend all of my money and buy all of the Katy Perry Prism albums I could afford. It turned out to be 63 albums. ($1,000). I gave all the albums out to the kids at my local Make-A-Wish chapter-hoping they would be just as inspired as I was listening to Katy’s music.
All of the songs on the album are so inspiring, but there’s one that is dear to my heart and that is called “By The Grace Of God” in which Perry sings in the chorus “By The Grace of God/I picked myself back up/I put one foot in front of the other/and I looked in the mirror/and decided to stay”.
I love Katy Perry’s new album Prism, but I also loved meeting the kids at Make A Wish just as much, if not more. There were so much joy on each child’s face. I pray the kids at the Make A Wish chapter understands the message Katy Perry relays on the album which is to “Let the light in.” I pray her music lifts them up and bring an abundance of positivity into their lives.
