Is ATRL too fickle when it comes to looks/success?
This is not a troll thread.
Lately, I've noticed that ATRL seems to support an artist more when their album is successful - or hate them if said album is successful, along with supporting attractive females and males but dragging them for some belly fat. I'm generalizing a tad here - but some of you must have noticed it too.
Take "Unapologetic", for example. ATRL "stanned" for it, persay, before it's release. Then, when the numbers came in and it didn't fail to chart #1, becoming a largely successful album, ATRL decides to call it "garbage".
On the flip side of the spectrum - you have "Warrior" and "Lotus". Both albums, upon their leaking - were received very well by ATRL - even with a poll that resulted in "Warrior" being declared "better" than Unapologetic. However, when the dismal, disappointing numbers rolled in, ATRL dragged for filth.
Along with this - does ATRL show preference to artists who are "skinnier and prettier"? Take Christina Aguilera for example. Fans of MANY consistently mock her weight gain, but when Lady Gaga gained nearly enough weight to be Xtina's size, ATRL got defensive and became offended when people joked about her weight gain.
So, question is - "Is ATRL too fickle, spending too much time judging the commercial success of their favorite pop stars over the quality of the music?"
Keep it cute.
