Ever watched a music video and wished you could just click on someones outfit and buy it instantly (we have)? Now, thanks to cool Montreal-based designer ecommerce site Ssense and some fancy technology, you can. Theyve collaborated with Australian female rapper Iggy Azalea (not to be confused with Harlems Azealia Banks) on what is apparently the worlds first shoppable music video.
According to a release, you can click right on any SSense hostspot to shop the styles shown on the people in the video for I Think She Ready, which also stars fellow buzzy hip hop people Diplo and FKi (Ssense styled them all for the shoot). The video premieres tomorrow at 12:00PM EST here. But for now click through for stills in which you can see some of the items, like a pretty incredible McQueen knuckle clutch. Theres also some Givenchy, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Rick Owens, and Preen in there.
With music videos becoming more of an internet thing and less of a television thing, we could see the shoppable music video becoming a trend. Do you think it could take off?
