Here as well, Adele breaks the record for the highest points within a year (10.037.000 points) besting the previous record set by Shakira with Hips Don't Lie in 2006 (9.769.000 points). It is the first song to accumulate over 10 million points within a calendar year. The sum also puts Rolling in The Deep within the Top 40 Greatest Worldwide hits of all times (at #40 so far)

Huge and huge and huge year for Adele. Slaying all our faves effortlessly. And with a really good album. 
Amazing year for Gaga, too. Singles-wise it could have been better, but she had a global top10 and total album sales of 7M, which is her highest one-year total to date.
The Fame outselling Femme Fatale.
