Sara Beth Bareilles is an American musician, singer-songwriter and pianist. She achieved mainstream success in 2007 with the hit single "Love Song", which brought her into the number one spot on the Billboard Pop 100 chart. Bareilles has sold over one million records and over six million singles in the United States alone and has been nominated for a Grammy Award five times. In the third season of NBC's The Sing-Off, Bareilles was a celebrity judge alongside Ben Folds and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men. In February 2012, VH1 placed Bareilles in the 80th spot of the Top 100 Greatest Women in Music. In December 2013, Bareilles received a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year for The Blessed Unrest, one of the most honorific awards in music. Her work has been praised by numerous artists including Katy Perry, Adam Levine, Ryan Tedder, Kelly Clarkson, Ingrid Michaelson, and the Obama family.

I adore her to pieces. I love her entire discography. Such an underrated singer and her lyrics are so clever and fresh. I wish people knew her outside of Love Song and the Katy Perry controversy because she really does have some great albums.
