Hi. This year I'm gonna make my "Best Of" 2014. My first one ever!
It will contain 25 singles and 25 songs released in 2014, and 20 albums as well. Also, it'll be featuring 15 songs and 15 albums from past years that made it easier to survive through this not-so-good year for music.
₪ 25 singles from 2014: Only songs that were official singles or have a proper music video. For example,
Partition by Beyoncé was released in 2013 but
got radio ads and a proper single release this year. Another example:
Youth by Foxes; It got released in 2012 as a single in the U.K. (or at least on iTunes), got a music video in 2013 and
Glorious, the album, got released until 2014.. It will
NOT be part of this section even tho something releated to it or that contained it got released this year.
₪ 25 songs from 2014: Album tracks from albums that were released
this year only.
Best Mistake by Ariana Grande was a promotional single only, so it will be counted in this section.
Breaking Up by Charli XCX was a promotional for her album
Sucker but got a music video; it will be counted as a single.
₪ 20 albums from 2014: Simple and obvious.
Only 2014 proper releases.
₪ 90 songs and 15 albums from past years: songs and albums that I got into as of this year but were released years, or decades, ago.
As you can see, my "banner" is kind of simple so I'll be playing with formatting and stats from every song and album. Enjoy.
