Katy Perry Talks Lady Gaga
I don't think this is old, as the article was posted today, though maybe it is... Either way, when I got the link to this article in my VH1 Newsletter e-mail, I knew I had to post it, if anything to have at least one thread in my whole ATRL tenure that created some sort of stan war... Here it is!

Katy Perry is a busty walking contradiction once again in her new interview with Rolling Stone this month, as she discusses her fame, her hubs-to-be Russell Brand and most notably, her surprisingly conservative critiques of Lady Gaga’s sex-and-religion-themed Alejandro video. Perry attempts to explain her tweeted criticism, saying “I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen.” Hmm, we wonder if people in glass bikinis should really be throwing sexy stones, as it were.
While we certainly respect a person’s right to be spiritual, when most people ask, “what would Jesus do?” the answer is typically not, “lay butt-naked on a cotton candy cloud” or “dance around with a sentient gummy bear with his jugs out.” Continues Perry, “Yes, I said I kissed a girl. But I didn’t say I kissed a girl while f-ing a crucifix.”
Don’t give Gaga any more (fabulous) ideas! In addition to promoting her new album Teenage Dream, due out later this month, Perry delved further into her own strict religious upbringing, saying “I wasn’t ever able to say I was ‘lucky,’ because my mother would rather us say that we were ‘blessed,’ and she also didn’t like that ‘lucky’ sounded like ‘Lucifer’.”
Wow, if her mom can’t listen to the word “lucky,” how demonic must “we freak in my jeep” sound to her? It’s got to be embarrassing when your own mom starts burning your albums…

She's slightly hypocritical though. She says not to mix religion and sexuality, yet she's the one with the Rolling Stone cover that says Sex, God, & Katy Perry.
Not to mention the photo inside with the Jesus cross necklace dangling between her beautiful titties.
Another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Did Katy Perry not have a cross dangle between her bare cans and down to her crotch as she was striking a sexual pose in a recent magazine cover?

Besides, people who are truly religious wouldn't like to exploit bisexuality for profits, even if it doesn't include ****ing a cross.
It's OK to have an opinion, and she's said a lot of great things about Gaga in the past, but this just makes her sound like a twat.

KP is still struggling between the 2. Her parents are super religious and then she has her career where she had to change in order to be where she is today.
Lucky does not sound like Lucifer.

Every single person, even if a singer has the right to have an opinion and talk about it when asked, so GO KATY! Loved your opinion and I do agree with you. Im glad she doesn't care about those so called monsters

even tho im not anywhere CLOSE to being a gaga fan there was no need for the shade even tho i hate alejandro vid and i agree with katy there was no need for this katy will make trouble for herself!

I love KP but she hasn't got anything on Gaga quite yet.
And it is very hypocritical that she plays the god card while capitalising on being a preachers daughter while wearing rubber dresses and kissing girls.

Thanks, b/c we thought she doesn't have a right to an opinion b/c she's a singer.
Close the thread, we've had our answer: Katy is entitled to her opinion even though she's a singer!

All artists need to watch how much shade they throw at others, Gaga has yet to say a bad word about anyone or retaliate.
Look at the bad karma it brought Christina.
