Beyoncé doesn't do YouTube/Spotify/iTunes releases on time as preventative damage control. Imagine if She did. It would completely undermine her marketing team's attempt to make her out to be the "MV visionary. " If the YouTube global views didn't add up, then that would be devastating to the brand. That's why they keep Beyonce in her "Safe place" with these supposed Tidal exclusives.
Is it time she moved on from her "Safe Place?" Disagree? If so, why.
if the videos/music were made available globally on every streaming service she'd have monster numbers, she literally breaks the internet whenever her albums drop and she tookover the itunes top 10 with her album tracks
i don't think it's about her being "safe", it's her capitalizing on her own brand and trying to make money and launch the streaming service that she's a cofounder in
She dodges all sorts of criticism by making her content Tidal exclusive. She knows her streaming isn't on par with her peers and that's just a fact. (She doesn't have any video with 1 billion views on VEVO.)
Making Beyoncé more of a mysterious, exclusive act was the best thing her team could've done (proven with the immense ST and Lemonade success) but I don't think her next album will be as successful with the same marketing tool. They'll do something different
What is truly amusing is how every album she releases, y'all say her next one won't be as successful as the current one. Before it was: she can't get anymore top tens or top fives; now it's she's being safe by being exclusive.
It's all part of the post-4 strategy of turning her into a mysterious cultural enigma in order to free her from the normal expectations and benchmarks of pop success.
Tidal is literally poison to any artist. Only ATRL would use this sales/stream blocking platform to shade Bey.
The fact that BEYONCÉ got a billion streams despite being released a year later proved how strong how streaming powerr is. She was in the Top 5 Spotify artists list despite not having released an album there since 2014. her YT views are great and she literally broke records left and right when lemonade dropped.
But as i already see, the usual pressed ones entered the thread to agree with this baseless hypotheses.
