Chris Brown 's new single Turn Up The Music has knocked off Gotye 's Somebody That I Used To Know from the top spot, according to the radio show Big Top 40.
The R&B singer's new single was released on yesterday on March 25th (2012) and raced to the top of the charts on the same day, thereby ending Gotye's six week run at number one with his catchy Somebody That I Used To Know, which dropped to number four. The Virginia-born singer’s new single, Turn Up The Music, is this morning leading this week’s Official Singles Chart charge and could knock current chart-topper Katy Perry’s Part Of Me off Number 1 this Sunday. This would be a personal best for Brown who’s highest chart placing to date as a solo artist was Number 2 with his debut single, Run It!, back in 2006. See his full Official Charts history here.
