From the Press Release: Believer comes after a successful year of music for Trent who co-wrote six songs off Ingrid Michaelson’s latest release, Lights Out, including the massive hit lead single, “Girls Chase Boys.” His song “Don’t Put Dirt On My Grave” (co-written with Caitlyn Smith) was featured on ABC’s Nashville and trail blazed on the charts, with the album, Nashville: On The Record, peaking at No. 1 on the Overall® Albums Chart. He toured as Sugar + The Hi-Lows (with Amy Stroup) earlier this year on Ingrid Michaelson’s national “Lights Out Tour” and the duo recently played a sold out Christmas show in Nashville.
Singer/Songwriter/Producer Trent Dabbs is more than a triple threat. In his career, he has released eight solo albums, a self-titled collaboration album with Ashley Monroe, two albums as the duo, Sugar + the Hi-Lows (with Amy Stroup) and written with acclaimed artists such as Mat Kearney, Kacey Musgraves, Ingrid Michaelson, and Joy Williams (The Civil Wars), among many others. His music has made placements in TV spots including Grey’s Anatomy, Parenthood, So You Think You Can Dance and a Zales commercial. His song “Undermine,” co-written with GRAMMY® winning artist Kacey Musgraves made a splash last season on ABC’s Nashville with Rolling Stone raving it as a “steamy duet” between Hayden Panettiere (Juliette Barnes) and Charles Esten (Deacon). Dabbs is the co-founder of the critically praised collective “Ten Out of Tenn” which began in 2005 and features ten Nashville-based singer/songwriters.
