People like her and care to actually buy her music, that's what I would call the greatest kind of impact for a SINGER. Not to mention her higly successful tours. But yet again the ghays will rush and start to make excuses about their faves flopping but having this intriguing thing called cultural impact which is some imaginary influence of an artist . Ordinary people don't care about things like that, they want good music.

I love a lot of her music... But she doesn't generate the massive obsessions that other pop girls manage to, so I think the memory of her will be quick to fade.

In recent years she's been regarded as one of the best live performers --the only one who rivals her is Beyonce. It's not an opinion, at least not just one by her stan. Katy Perry, Rihanna, Carrie Underwood, Adele, Hillary Scott, Simon Cowell, Keith Urban, Ellen DeGeneres and a long list of celebs have cited her as an inspiration.

So I don't know why anyone would say she's culturally irrelevant. But whatever floats your boat.

She and Kelly C are "forgettable" because they don't have any scandals to keep their names in the headlines. People here seem to mistake controversy with cultural impact.
