Why is it more impressive when a black person gets into Harvard compared to a white person?

Because blacks are stastically more likely to have lower incomes, live in poorer areas with worse schools, so they may have to go the extra mile to get to Harvard because of their circumstances (Well, poor people in general). Also, according to the blacks here, they fave discrimination daily, so that is an achievement in itself. It's always good to see underpowered minorities succeed.

Yes but still, if you work hard enough you can get where you want in live despite race.
Anyway, I didn't know about the discrimination at school thing. It's a shame, racism should be a thing of the past.

Wouldn't you agree it's harder for a black person to get into Harvard than white people? And wouldn't you say its an achievement when Harvard accepts its highest percentage of black people ever?

That's what the blacks here say, so I don't know. I don't conceivably see how there can be discrimination going unpunished, but the blacks keep mentioning and crying out "institutionalized racism!", so it must be true :shrug:
