New Britney VH1 special :)
Britney is going to be a VH1 News Show. It is called "Britney's Secret Childhood". It airs April 4,2006 at 11/10c AM. The duration is 1 hour. Below is the synopsis of the episode.
Episode Synopsis: Britney's Secret Childhood.Lynne Spears named her daughter "Britney" because she said it was unique, a deliberate misspelling of "Brittany." And her daughter did turn out unique, becoming the youngest female singer to simultaneously have a #1 single and #1 album. Along the way, she became a role model to thousands of young girls for her success. But some critics called her "a role model for strippers." VH1 News Presents: Britney's Secret Childhood traces the unauthorized history of the pop minx, showing how her story begins and ends at the same place: a small southern town in Louisiana called Kentwood. Britney escaped there due to her ambitious mother's prodding, but her spirit has never really left. The show explores how Kentwood shaped Britney and the woman she has become. With the aid of child psychologists and exclusive, rarely-seen footage, VH1 News will try and understand Britney's life story from a never-told perspective. The show relays the behind the scenes tale of Britney's family: how mom was a schoolteacher before having babies and Dad tried and failed at several businesses. They later divorced. The family dynamic of a strong mother and unsuccessful father helped inform Britney's future choice of men, from Justin Timberlake to current husband Kevin Federline. But there are more: for the first time, high school boyfriend Reg Jones allows television cameras into his teenage abode where he and Britney spent many romantic hours together. When Britney's career took off, Jones believes that Lynne Spears forced Britney to abandon him. And Jason Alexander, who was Mr. Spears for a 55 hour period, also reveals details of his first weekend with Britney. He was led to believe that even after the marriage was annulled, he and Britney would be able to work out their relationship. Kentwood also itself falls under the microscope. Most folks in town -- including the Spears -- are Southern Baptists. They believe that women should be subservient to husbands and teen sexuality is strictly forbidden. In this restrictive environment, Britney learned the buttons to push for attention. Britney's meteoric career is also depicted. From a young age, she was pushed to compete in dancing and singing contests. At 11, she was sent to New York for auditions but instantly became homesick. She wanted to go home for Christmas but producers told her she must work the holidays. Christmas Eve comes but Britney leaves the show to head home. This tension between ambition and rebellion becomes a theme in her life.
