Welcome to the eleventh season of ATRL's Song Contest!
After an amazing season hosted by mxtthewdelrey, I am now back to host an eleventh season of ATRL's Song Contest. I first discovered this game in Season 9 and although I was only part of the game for four rounds, I still kept my enthusiasm going for a long time afterwards as I thought the game had an amazing format. Last season was won by
URBAN.
Last but not least, there will be an extra elimination twist this season, which will be announced after the cast announcement. No one is safe, and anything can happen on ATRL Song Contest.
The Basics
We start the game with a number of contestants, who each round have to submit one song (as an mp3 file or YouTube link) to me each round via PM. After everyone has submitted, each contestant must listen to all the other songs that the contestants submitted, and rank them (not including their own song). Based on these rankings, two contestants will be eliminated, and a new round will begin with new songs. This will continue until we are left with the winner of ATRL's Song Contest 11.
Song Selection
- No singles
- During many of the rounds, there will be a category for the song you must submit, such as a foreign language song, or a song by a male artist.
- Once you use an artist, you cannot use them again in the season.
- If more than one contestant sends the same song, the contestant that sent the song first gets to use it, so remember to send a back-up song just in case this may happen.
Requirements
- You must be able to send me a working link for the song.
- When sending your song, you must include the name of the song and artist (these will stay anonymous to the other contestants)
- You must be able to download the folder of songs each week to rank.
- You must be able to send your songs and rankings in on time.
Banned Artists
I will allow these artists to be used this season ONCE - in Week 1. Then, they are banned again from that point onwards.
So after lots of complaints last season, I finally got round to making an Excel document with the Banned Artists and Songs!
Page 1 - All the banned artists. I went through the song list from this season and officially compiled the list of any artist that had been used three times / used twice if they were already banned. Remember, the banned artist list will not apply to Round 1 this season!
Page 2 - All the banned songs that had already been compiled from before Season 10. I took the list that sumthintoxic82 had made and converted it into an Excel document
Page 3 - All the songs that were used in Season 10, and this will be updated with the Season 11 songs as well!

just treat the app as a normal round. All it is is one song that's being judged by me and URBAN. It can be a single, it can be by a banned artist, you can use it in the competition if you get through. All it is is something for us to cut down the apps (assuming we get 20+) so that the competition isn't too long (and to give me less work)
