I'm bored, so I decided to start a new thread! Starting now, I'll review a couple of hot new songs, a throwback, and recommend or put down a album track that I, myself, have heard or been listening to recently.
.
I guess for the 1st review I'll just do some obvious choices

1. Madonna - "Hung Up"
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000BRD6GC.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg)
.
Going retro, or, COMPLETELY 80's retro dance for her new album "Confessions On A Dancefloor", Madonna returns to a music period that I personally love. So I was really excited to hear "Hung Up", even though I expected a horrible outcome and terrible reception from the general public. Luckily, Madonna weaves a thumping, refreshing, techno-like beat in with her simple vocal arrangements (as usual?) to bring a great dance song. It still probably won't be received well by the public, proof being it hasn't risen at all since it's debut on the Hot 100, but dance fans, and Madonna fans alike will love it. Plus, who needs America? Europe is gonna eat this **** up. 8.5/10 ![rock on](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/19b1f313.gif)

2. Mariah Carey - "Don't Forget About Us"
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000BO0LLS.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg)
.
Ok, I hate re-releases, they seem to just be a way to get more money and eek the most out of a project. But in this case, I might be inclined to buy it, only because I don't own the original, and I love this song, and "So Lonely". Yes, it really might as well be "We Belong Together Part 2", but I still think it's a great mid tempo ballad. I love the arrangement of the song, and I love the little rap she does, and the chorus. Classic Mariah Ballad #384382838. 9/10

I was like...10 when I heard this? It was one of the first songs I loved outside of the R&B and Hip-Hop genres. I never really quite understood the song, I have my theories, but it always gets me into a thinking, mellow mood. Isn't much else I can say about this song, but I love it. 9/10

Keyshia Cole - "Love"
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B00096S3PY.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg)
.
This track is the BEST track on Keyshia's album, "The Way It Is". This girl would be stupid not to release this as the last single off this album. Even if it doesn't perform well on the charts, it'd get her some respect....and probably solidify her as the new "Ghetto Hoodrat Queen". (My own lil' title for her). This song wonderfully showcases her vocal abilities, which are slightly above average, and it's just a great ballad. I recommend a listen, or two, or many, like I do. 10/10]

1. Chris Brown - "Yo"
![](http://us.ent1.yimg.com/images.launch.yahoo.com/000/028/005/28005045.jpg)
.
Hmm, "Run It" was very annoying at 1st, then slightly, then I sorta liked then, and now currently, I LOVE it. Yes, I'll admit that I LOVE "Run It". I'll also admit that I love "Yo" too. It's smooth, and provides the R&B world with a young male talent who isn't overtly sexual (Usher, Ginuwine), or annoying because their bland ass song was #1 for 9 ****ing weeks. (Mario) I think Mr.Brown has potential, but again..."2-hit wonder"? 8/10 ![rock on](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ATRLSmilies/19b1f313.gif)

I don't care what Mikal, or anyone else has to say about her video being demeaning to women. Oh well. Hopefully mother's will teach their daughters well. The video to this is hot, I never knew she could shake her ass like that! Anyways, she's blowing up on radio, and when the song is digitally released, (since I don't think it is yet), I'm sure this will go top 5. #1 may be in reach, but I don't know. Why? Because really, there's nothing special about the song itself, she does the usual fast, pre-member change DC3 style song, and does some high pitched yelling at the end. Gotta love it though. At least a little. I do! 8.5/10

Jessica Simpson - "Irresistable"
![](http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/B00005K404.01._SCLZZZZZZZ_.jpg)
.
I guess this was the song that made the public realize that this knock off of Brit & X-tina would actually stay around. I have to admit, it was sort of catchy. Not one of my favorite songs from her, but it would be hard for her to please me anyways because, um....I don't like her. Cool video though, and I think it hit #1 on TRL. Woooo. 6/10

Pussycat Dolls - "Buttons"
![](http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B000B0QORW.01._SCMZZZZZZZ_.jpg)

So, PCD seems like it may be around for another album, or at least Nicole will. When u listen to the album, she sings about 97% of it, and has a good voice, so I'm sure she'll go solo if they don't make it. To break the "2-hit wonder" barrier, they should totally release "Buttons". It's hot, catchy, and sexy, a image that "Don't Cha" projected pretty well. It would never sound like the record live of course, since some of it is synthesized, but who cares. 3 of them never sing anyways. 8/10]
