What artist should "American Life" the Trump presidency?
During the Bush administration, many artists took stands against Bush & his fellow neocon administration's tyranny acted out on the world and on the American public.
From Pink to the Dixie Chicks to Madonna, many artists finally put their outrage where their money was and stood up and refused to be silenced.
What artists of the new generation, if any, should speak out against the Trump administration? Should they wait until he messes up? Should they speak up now about the bigoted fascism he's validating? Will it take entering another war or something drastic for such a political climate to erupt?
Should Gaga dedicate herself further to the election and protesting hateful rhetoric?
Should Katy rebuke her conservative Christian pro-nationalist upbringing and previous views and live up to her newly revealed "activist" title and speak out via her art?
Should Beyonce push forward where Formation was leading?
Should Pink or Madonna speak up again now?
Will any of the younger generation - Miley to Demi to Ariana to Taylor - say something and inspire their millions of young followers to fight hate-filled politics?
Do you think it's an artist's place to speak out against politics they disagree with or should they stay silent out of the fear of possibly alienating right-wing, conservative fans of their music?
Gaga needs to serve Born This Way 2.0. We gays need our leader more than ever.
I'm sure Kendrick and Beyoncé will continue with their politically-informed material.
Totally on board if someone wants to serve us the next Not Ready To Make Nice.
My only concern is she's more about unity and togetherness than the Madonna/Pink/MIA style of political criticism (ie: preaching overall messages of unity and how we'll get through this as opposed to direct criticisms aimed at people in her art and music), but I think the realities of a Trump world could inspire her to do something.
I would even love something like her slipping in "Love Trumps Hate" and a quick anti-Trump blurb into her Super Bowl performance, but I doubt the NFL would even allow that.
Legend Gaga will find a way to make a cute little statement at the Super Bowl - though she'll have been SEVERELY warned against it. There'll be some backlash but she'll RISE above it.
I don't know, pop girls are too basic and afraid to be ACTUALLY risky, but hopefully Ariana whose Madonna's #1 pop girl stan can create American Life album (she was spilling out the iconic rap verses on Madonna's stage, #Queen!) because I am ready for Nobody Knows Me, Intervention and Love Profusion
also Twenty One Pilots can pull off Green Day and release American Idiot 2.0

I forgot about this iconic song.
I need these new-age rock band to put their money with their mouth is and make some noise.
twenty one pilots has had so many hits this year and are constantly talking about how anti-mainstream, anti-corporate, etc. they are. They could release such an iconic "**** Trump" song.
