Umbrella made the bigger impact, was more successful, and the video is more iconic.

Bad Romance, it not only sold more it also has more views on youtube and had a much deeper impact.
Also the video is incredibly more iconic than Umbrella ever could be.

Umbrella is more exciting, more original, and more sharp and memorable as a single.

Bad Romance is a great song and I love it, but impact wise? Especially worldwide? It really is hands down, Umbrella.
