I'm hoping that it does get number 1, but I'm not really getting my hopes up. Rihanna has been a really consistent seller despite never getting the top spot.
I don't see how it would get it any week but the first.
January / February are usually weak months for album sales. If Rihanna has a hot single out by then and she can promote it on several show, she can easily get the #1.
I honestly think this time she could really get it
Me too! After that twitter description, I feel like TTT can do really well since it's just what's hot in today's music industry, but still experimental and different
I don't see how it would get it any week but the first.
January is a dead zone. If TTT can hold up until then, it could hit #1 like Pink Friday did, simply due to a stalled new release schedule during that month. PF hit #1 with like 37K or something ridiculous.
I think her competition will be
- Here and Now [300K+] - Last album sold 326,000 first week
- Speak Now World Tour Live [?] - Huge digital seller
- Break the Spell [230K+] - Last album sold 269,000 first week
Break the Spell - Daughtry
Here and Now - Nickelback
Elevate - Big Time Rush
Speak Now World Tour: Live - Taylor Swift
Talk That Talk - Rihanna
James Durbin - Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster
My Life II... The Journey Continues (Act 1) - Mary J. Blige
Ever After - Marianas Trench
She will outsell Daughtry, I believe. I don't think Susan will be as difficult to sell more as last year, although I'm sure it will sell loads on Black Friday.
Nickelback & Mary will be tough. NB will probably do 225-275K. Mary around the same.
