oh this is about books

My TBR pile on my desk is like so big right now it isn't even funny, especially compared to the pile next to it which is recentish purchases which I've managed to read. I have like at least 14 books I'm planning to read soon depending on how long it takes me to finish A Storm of Swords

I have such a long list of books to read and I ordered 9 new ones a couple of days ago I am waiting for.

Right now I'm reading An Abundance of Katherines by John Green, the last one by him I haven't read. He's amazing, and I know everyone reads him now but he's truly magnificent. Goes from laughing to crying throughout all of his books.

The Kill Order & The Death Cure (Maze Runner 3 & 4)
Into The Abyss
Cloud Atlas (which I read like half of last year and was like ****ING NOPE CANNOT GET INTO THIS but after seeing the movie and hearing about everyone rave about how the book is so much better I'm forcing myself to give it another go from the beginning)
The Book Thief (literally no clue why I haven't read this yet)
Battle Royale
ASOIAF 4 & 5 (though I'll probably take a break after ASOS and come back to these later)

No clue which of these I'm gonna tackle next though or when that'll be How about you?

Oh, and aside from ASOS I'm also reading A Captain's Duty which is the novel/autobiography which the movie Captain Phillips was based on.

Katherines is the only JG book I have yet to read too Ordered the hardcover box set of his books yesterday though and I plan to read them all again at some point.

Paper Towns is so underrated. So is Will Grayson, Will Grayson.
I can't really pick a fave by him, seeing as they all are so good.

The Paper Towns movie adaptation recently went back into development! So that's cool. Personally I found it a bit of a frustrating read though because the whole way through I was just increasingly super frustrated that this guy is literally prepared to drop his entire life and obsess over this girl who clearly barely gives a **** about him anyway and who he's only really known for like 24 hours It was a decent book for the first, like, two thirds but as soon as the road trip scene started I was just like "nah. nope. no. NO."

Looking for Alaska is probably my fave from JG.

Only book I've actually read that wasn't by force was The Hunger Games
