Blackstar, AMSP, Lemonade, they've all been universally praised by critics from the moment they dropped and singled out for months as AOTY front-runners, Anti has not, and considering Rihanna's only previous nomination in the category was the year her (at the time) manager was on the committee, and the stiff competition this year, it's a complete reach to say Rihanna is getting "ignored". Give her time.

This is exactly what I was going to say.
Anti was a good album but Rihanna fans honestly do the most keep raising up the subject of it being deserving of an AOTY nom (or even worse win). It is just in a completely different league to the likes of 25/Lemonade/Blackstar - it would be a travesty for it to win, and even a nomination would be really uncalled for in my opinion. Sometimes on here I think we need to take off our stan glasses/biases and recognise what a true deserving AOTY looks like. Anti is not it.
Also regarding the other part of the interview - honestly if Purpose got an AOTY nom I would fully lose all hope I had in the Grammys
It's a fun album that I sure had a lot of bops to, but my god, the idea of it being nominated for AOTY is laughable. In the case of the above, Purpose makes Anti look like Thriller.
But I agree with that other poster, I think Bieber's just general lifestyle/image alone will prevent him getting any major noms.
Lemonade is great but I really hope it doesn't win, 25 or Blackstar really deserves it imo.
