Get pumped for "Miley Cyrus: MTV Unplugged," where the salacious singer will strip the electricity from her party anthems and turn them into acoustic jams. Come January 29 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, Smilers will see her disconnected from amps and beats-machines, unleashing her unstoppable voice on MTV.
Surprise guests will join in on the unplugged party, and who knows, anyone could show up! And while we're used to raucous teddy-bear dancing like her 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance or a giant crying face projection at the MTV EMA, this show will include more intimate reinventions of her Bangerz tracks, like "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball."
Miley, who was MTV's Best Artist of 2013, joins the history-making roster of "Unplugged" artists like Nirvana, Jay-Z, Katy Perry, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey, Eric Clapton and Adele, who have highlighted the show since it started in 1989.
Yes people always question her skills as a young growing vocalist
They do the same thing to a lot of popstars They did it to GaGa, Xtina, Beyoncé and so many others. I'm happy she's finally gonna prove that she can sing and I hope she gives us more amazing acoustic performances like from SNL
