Maybe not as a chart rule but as a separate chart it does make sense imo. I just find it interesting to see what the Hot 100 would look like if it was more like the UK top 100.

Basically every released song would hit #1. Charts wouldn't make sense then.

I am pretty sure that there are more than 53 songs released in a year.

Sis. There are a lot more than 53 major releases per year. Even the year end hot 100 contains the biggest of the biggest. For 99.9% artists out there, even getting inside the hot 100 at all is a very hard task.

A shame Worth It and Post To Be can't even get #1 this way though. I guess they must have been peaking at a busy time in the charts.

What about Out Of The Woods? It's still an achievement to be in the top 50 songs of the year imo, it's not something everyone can automatically achieve with every single, not even Taylor Swift.

Yeah, i think it's dumb to say that this chart is useless because every song hits #1.Formation, When we Were Young, Out Of The Woods, Bitch Better Have My Money, American Oxygen, Bitch i'm Madonna, Til It Happens To You all didn't make it, and those are just out of our faves. Also, the whole idea of this chart is to have as many #1s as possible.

I think Worth It probably barely missed it honestly. It's a shame because imo it's definitely one of the biggest songs of the year. In general, if a song reaches top 10 organically (not Judas), it will most likely be picked up. If a song reaches top 15, it depends on how busy the charts are.

Better yet, what if the Hot 100 was updated every DAY instead of every week That would be interesting.
