VH1 Classic Europe

VH1 Classic Europe, also known as VH1 Classic European, is a music television channel from Viacom International Media Networks Europe. The channel primarily features music videos from the 70s through to the 90s, although rare live performances from the 40s, 50s and 60s can be seen as well. VH1 Classic was first launched in the United Kingdom on July 1, 1999 and made available from the beginning to the whole of Europe. However, the current pan-European service was launched in November 2004, when it became a separate feed from VH1 Classic UK. Like VH1 Europe, it broadcast from MTV Networks Europe's premises in Camden Town (London, UK). It is officially available to viewers all over Europe (except the UK & Ireland). Unlike VH1 Classic UK, the pan-European version of the channel is entirely devoid of advertisements, with round-the-clock music videos played out from MTV Networks Europe's comprehensive library in London.

I wish I had this channel.

Isn't there an american equivalente? Like there was with normal VH1 and MTV?

There is, but they only focus on '80s videos, rarely playing '90s videos for only a few hours. The rest of the time is dominated by old documentaries, concerts, old episodes of "Saturday Night Live" and movies that have nothing to do with music (think Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, etc...).

And "That Metal Show".

Well I'm betting the time will come for our version to go crap too. Its happened to VH1 Europe which is very repetitive these days, and I wont even mention MTV Europe because that cant call itself a music channel anymore with all the reality crap there - and it used to be the best music channel of all time back in the 90s. A big shame. At least I still have some old videos and straps from that channel to reminisce

Qué raro se siente ver videos como el de Girls Aloud - "Something Kinda Ooh" en el canal.
