Why do people on this site constantly discredit Viners? Don't get me wrong, I don't even have a Vine account and I barely watch them, but some people on here do TOO much. They say stuff like the Viners are "irrelevant" or "not famous" when they have millions of followers on various social media websites, they get invited to televised events, they sell lots of their merchandise, they have important news outlets running stories on them and they have a greater influence over the younger generations than lots of the pop girls do nowadays. The main ones like Nash and Cameron are definitely famous and whether it's for the right or wrong reasons doesn't change that fact. I'm not saying I agree with their videos - or things they have said - but not liking someone ≠ them not being famous/successful.

They discredit them because people think they have no actual talent, they see them as clowns or teen sensations with no value. TBH the only one who deserve fame and respect are the ones who do talented stuff in there, there is a lot of talent on YouTube and Vine. But the clowns should never be respected tbh.
Idk the whole "they're not real celebrities!!11" thing is kinda annoying. I hate them, but they ARE famous and they have a following. They are celebrities, and just because they're being watched on a computer or a phone instead of a TV doesn't mean they aren't. Besides, their videos get more views than most TV shows

This is so true, TV and traditional is becoming obsolete in a few years the only way to get famous will be through social media so it doesnt matter these days.

That still doesn't mean they're not famous/successful though.
Girl they are successful only because it's free, made them pay the video, you'll see their followers plumet. I do like Simone Shepherd and Brittany Furlan.
I remember when people complaining about Brittany not doing enough videos, she answerd with this video
