The Queen of Country Pop. Let's give her a singles rate!
So here's how we'll play:
Rate all of Shania's 37 singles from 0 to 10, with 0 being the absolute worst song imaginable (you won't find a 0 in this rate) and 10 being "Any Man of Mine" (shameless plug). I'll calculate the averges and then we'll see what the best Shania single is! I've provided links to all of the singles to refresh your memory (or to ease your introduction if you've never listened to the Queen). Now, as you may know, Shania has released different versions of some of her singles throughout her career; she sometimes released a country version and a pop version. I went ahead and put links to the versions I prefer, which are usually the country versions. If the version you prefer (or remember) is different than the version I've posted, then just send me the rate for the version you like more

She was still two years from becoming a household name, but in December 1992, gorgeous Shania Twain was already earning her share of wolf whistles — literally! — as she posed for a photo shoot at a snowbound trappers' camp near her hometown of Timmins, Ontario. Shania, then 27, had a huge gray wolf for a costar, and they eventually appeared together on the cover of her self-titled debut album, released in 1993.
"Shania was really in her element," Anne Mousseau, whose brother-in-law shot the newly uncovered accompanying video, tells Star. Star's exclusive video begins with Shania's arrival in a Snow Cat vehicle. As she poses during the shoot, keep your sound turned up to hear the crew shouting directions, marveling at Shania's beauty, discussing the origins of her name, and engaging in playful back-and-forth banter with the sexy singer that leaves her laughing out loud.
But it's the pet wolf, named Cain, who almost steals the spotlight! "He was really quite tame, and his master was there off-camera the whole time," says Mousseau. "At one point, he jumped up on Shania's back and ended up tearing her coat. But he just wanted to play." And who wouldn't want to get frisky with a world-class beauty like Shania!
I think we can all agree that "Shoes" is her worst single.
totally agree, 100%, I think I gave it a 5 hahaha. Was that with Mutt? If it is, it's a shame that that's her last Mutt single... they were so good together
This should be good. I don't know any Shania pre Come On Over so I'll get to listening and send my rates in soon.
The first album is very traditional country and... underwhelming. That was before her work with Mutt.
The Woman in Me is very country-rock-pop and set the standard for country music for the rest of the 90s and early 00s (in my opinion). I hope you like those singles because it's my favorite Shania album
